Head Coach Information

Erica Beach returns in 2021 for her second year as head coach of the Pioneers.


In her first season at the helm the Pioneers recorded a 8 - 17 record while finishing 4th in the playoff tournament. Beach saw quartet of Pioneers selected to the All Star Game in Taylor Gilmore (P), Megan Pierro(2B), Neely Peterson(C), and Parrish Woods(OF).


Erica brings 16 years of High School, Collegiate, and National coaching experience to the Pioneers.

“From conversation number one, it was clear we had found the right person to lead our program into the 2020 Florida Collegiate League Season. The absolute energy, passion and background were exactly what we were looking for. We could not be more excited to have Erica on board”, said Pioneer GM Nolan Neiman.


Erica currently is the founder and owner of Beach Softball in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Previously, Erica has served as the Head Coach at the University of New Mexico from 2010-2017, where during that time NM State led all of NCAA Division 1 programs in Home Runs per game in 2012. She also was an Assistant Coach at The Ohio State University from 2006-2010 where she coached 3 All-Americans, 7 All-Regions players, and 1 Big Ten Freshman of Year.


Professionally, Erica played for the New England Riptide from 2006-2008 where she won a NPF Championship, The Arizona Heat in 2004-2005 where she was an All-Star in the circle, and The Haarlem Sparks in 2003 where she was named European Cup Most Outstanding Pitcher.


Erica also has coached in the Dutch Junior Leagues as well as various high schools during her career.

Collegiately, Erica played for the Sun Devils at Arizona State University. While pitching for the Sun Devils,


Erica played in 4 NCAA Regional Tournaments while advancing to the Women’s College World Series in

1999 and 2002. Erica was also named to the All-American and All World Series Teams in 2002.


Erica is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. There she led her high school team to 4 straight Arizona State Softball Championships.
